Peachtree City Garden Club tip of the month – Get outside and take in the beauty

The holidays can be a stressful time of year with much to do and little time to get it done! Look for ways to de-stress this season by getting outside and reconnecting with nature. Just a quick walk in the fresh air or a stroll through the garden will lower blood pressure and give you a renewed sense of serenity.

The winter garden does not flaunt its beauty like the spring but has a subtle charm you will miss if you don’t look closely. When the leaves are gone you can really see the texture and color of the peeling bark of the river birch and crape myrtle. You’ll admire crimson berries peeking out from the holly shrubs and the brilliant red of the cardinal at the bird feeder. The beauty of an unexpected dusting of snow is breath-taking.

During this special season of the year take the time to notice the natural beauty all around us.
