Carla’s Dance Factory and Georgia Youth Ballet will again present their production of A Christmas Spectacular and The Nutcracker, Land of Sweets in collaboration with Sandy Creek High School’s Choral and Drama Departments. It is a show designed with the entire family in mind and truly has something for everyone.

The first act, a Radio City style review, will feature members of the SCHS chorus and the CDF company dancers. Traditional and contemporary holiday tunes will be brought to life through dance and song. The “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers”, made famous by the Rockettes, and the snow scene from The Nutcracker are highlights.

The Nutcracker, Land of Sweets, complete with Herr Drosselmeyer, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Princess Petite Four and her Cavalier, is the second half of the program. Clara is entertained by Russian, Chinese, and Spanish dancers, along with Mother Ginger and her Gingersnaps. The Waltz of the Flowers is the prelude to the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, and the Pas de Deux of Petite Four and her Cavalier.

Performances are Friday, December 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Patriot Hall on the SCHS campus, Jenkins Rd., Tyrone.

Tickets are $10 and are available by calling Carla’s Dance Factory at 770-487-8001 and will also be available at the box office prior to each performance.
