Mrs. Louise Gordon of Fayetteville passed away on Dec. 1, 2012 at the age of 90.
Louise was a very loving and caring person. Her family was important and she made sure that each member felt special. She was a great example and stressed the importance of manners to her children. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Gabriel.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Arvel V. Gordon, and her grandson, Dennis Haberstich.
She is survived by her sons John T. Gordon and wife Shirley of Fayetteville, William L. Gordon and wife Barbara of Louisville, Ky.; daughter Sandra Haberstich of Elgin, Ill.; grandchildren Kelly Gordon Cato and husband Carl, Matthew Haberstich and wife Jennifer, Corrine Haberstich, Stephanie Love, Denise Carroll and husband Derek, David Shedd and wife Jill; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Marcella Ludden of Danville, Ill., Charlene Shreiner of Joliet, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Gabriel. Father Michael McWhorter will officiate.
Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
The family received friends on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
