Shoppers looking for a more meaningful gift this Christmas won’t have to look very far. Fayette Youth Protection Homes, a local, non-profit organization, has just kicked off its second annual “Have a Heart, Give Love” gift giving campaign. Supporters of the organization can make a donation of $50 or more in honor of someone, and the honoree will receive a glass ornament along with a Christmas card informing them of the donation made in their name.
The limited edition, heart-shaped, glass Christmas tree ornament is made possible through a generous donation from Peachtree City transportation logistics company, SMC3. FYPH will send the ornament to the recipient of your choice, or they will mail it to you, for personal gift giving presentation. The green colored clear ornaments come packaged in a keepsake silk drawstring bag and will be mailed in silver holiday packaging. A Christmas card explaining the gift will also be included.
All proceeds from the sale of the ornaments benefit Fayette Youth Protection Homes, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment and supportive services to children and youth who have been the victims of abuse, neglect or other tragic circumstances. The organization operates a residential group home, the Friday-Johnson Home, which provides comprehensive services and healing in a loving, homelike environment. FYPH also oversees a community-based foster care program called Grace for Children which arranges placement of children of all ages into loving private foster care homes. FYPH offers a third program for children in need, Gracie’s Closet, which is a clothing resource center for children living in foster care on the south side of metro Atlanta.
