Billy Absolum Kerlin, Jr., 55, passed away Nov. 14, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a lifetime resident of Fayette County. Billy was an excellent mechanic able to repair anything put in front of him. He loved to pick his guitar, loved nature, the North Georgia Mountains, boats and water-skiing.
Billy is preceded in death by his father Billy Kerlin, Sr. and sister Cynthia Kerlin.
He is survived by his mother Doris Roberts Kerlin; son Billy Kerlin, III; and brothers and sisters Gloria Johnson, Cheryl Crowe, David Kerlin, Ronnie Kerlin, Marie Latham, Judy Long, Cathy McCue and John Kerlin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Roberts Family Cemetery in Fayetteville. Reverend Hugh Kirby officiated.
