Peachtree City police will again conduct its annual “Light Up the Night” toy drive this year in an effort to make Christmas brighter for needy families.

To help draw attention to the toy drive, police will be located in the parking lot of local shopping centers with their lights flashing on three different weekends. Officers are seeking donations of unwrapped, new toys and cash donations which have been used in the past to help families pay utility bills for example.

The collection sites will be operative from 5-9 p.m. each evening from Nov. 26-28 in the parking lot of the Peachtree City Walmart and in other locations the weekend of Dec. 4-6 and Dec. 10-12.

Joining police in the toy drive campaign will be the green-clad members of the department’s Community Emergency Response Team.

Residents who are unable to donate at any of the live donation sites may also make donations at police headquarters at 350 Ga. Highway 74 south from Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
