Martha “Rosemary” Williams passed away from a hemorrhagic stroke on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at the age of 89.

Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Rosemary and her husband, Jack Williams moved to Peachtree City, Ga., from Ankeny, Iowa upon their retirement.

She passed away peacefully without pain surrounded by her family.

Rosemary was the school librarian at East Elementary in Ankeny, Iowa for nearly 20 years. Throughout her life, she loved to play golf, bridge and poker. She was always in the middle of a political discussion. She was a faithful wife, loving mother and proud grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Rosemary is survived by her brother, August (and Rosetta) Pfaff, and their family. Her sister-in-law, Margaret Ann (and Chuck) Benson and their family. Her sister-in-law, Marge Williams and her family.

Her surviving children are Martha (and Mike) McKinnon of Bluffton, S.C., Mark Williams of Godfrey, Ill., Brad (and Anne) Williams of Ankeny, Iowa, and Amy (and Robert) Cheek of Peachtree City, Ga.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Danielle (and Benjamin) Hunt, Maria (and Tyler) Edgeworth, Matthew Williams and Jennifer Williams. Her step grandchildren, Michele Britt (and Tim Crumpton) and John McKinnon. Her great grandchildren, Bryson Edgeworth and Wyatt Hunt, her step great grandchild Ian (and Michelle) Britt. Her step great, great grandchildren, Ryleigh Britt and Russell Britt. Other survivors include a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rosemary, married for 65 years, was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Williams.

To honor Rosemary, a viewing will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home located at 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, Ga., on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 3 – 5 p.m.

A Mass, Memorial Service and a Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, January 4th, 2013 also located at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home. Details to follow.
