Marjorie Elaine Pitner, 80, of Fayetteville

Mrs. Marjorie Elaine Pitner of Fayetteville, formerly of Forest Park, passed away on October 13, 2012 at the age of 80.

She was one of six daughters of W.R. and Lois Gordon of Forest Park, Ga. Elaine was a loving and devoted wife, mother of five, grandmother of nine and great grandmother of eight who loved generously and embraced all people. She worked at Georgia Telco Credit Union and retired after 31 years of service. She was a faithful member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband; Robert E. Pitner Sr. “Bob.”

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Elaine is survived by daughters Sharon Snellings and her husband David of Newnan, Nancy Waters and her husband Steve of Smyrna, Susan DeBel and late husband Morrie of Jacksonville, Fla.; sons Skip Pitner and his wife Rita of Stockbridge, Greg Pitner of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Westmoreland will officiate. Interment will follow in Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
