Mrs. Leone Beatrice Johnston, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away on September 5, 2012 at the age of 95.
Mrs. Johnston was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many. She was an encourager, and through her love, guidance, and encouragement, each of her three sons attained the rank of Eagle Scout. She loved her family and her Church, the Peachtree City United Methodist Church. She had a great sense of humor and also enjoyed singing. Even as her memory was beginning to fade, Leone could still remember all the words of her favorite old songs.
She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Lewis Johnston, and grandson Scott Johnston. Leone is survived by her sons; Ernest Johnston and his wife Evelyn of Lihue, HI, Robert Johnston and his wife Susan of Peachtree City, Ga., Glenn Johnston and his wife Joan of Fullerton, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City. Rev. Sean Robinson will officiate.
Entombment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
