John Huey Horsley, Sr. of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away on August 11. He was born May 3, 1936 to the late Calvin and Essie Horsley of Carrolton, Ga.
He had a long career with Cluett Peabody “Arrow Shirts” for 45 years. He was a member and deacon of New Hope Baptist Church North in Fayetteville, Ga. for many years. John loved spending time with his family.
John is survived by his loving wife Mary Kay Horsley; son – John Huey Horsley Jr. and Tracy; daughters – Debbie and William Cordell, Lisa and Bobby Mixon; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren – Destiny Edwards, Emily Greer, Haley Cordell, Kayden McDaniel, and Noah Greer; two brothers – Calvin Horsley and Wayne Horsley; sisters – Mary Jo Compton, Martha Sue Hesterlee, Ester Arrington and the late Erlene Cosby.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 14, at New Hope Baptists Church – North in Fayetteville, Ga. Viewing was held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 13 at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville, GA.
