For nearly 15 years Fayette Presbyterian Church (FPC) has supported the Calvary Refuge Center homeless shelter with financial aid and by providing and serving food at the center.

FPC sends a team of volunteers on the first Saturday of each month of the year. The volunteers prepare the meals, and take the food to the shelter where up to 35 or more guests may be served.

Those members participating in the most recent visit were Sara and Ron Reams, Patricia and John Sackett, Hugh and Judy Smith, Glenda and Lamar Hasty and the Rev. Dr. (retired) Richard Dodds.

The Calvary Refuge Center, located on Thurman Road in Forest Park, is a non-profit organization that has provided care for the homeless for 20 years. Any church or individual interested in supporting the homeless in need of basic necessities during these difficult times can contact the FPC church office at 770-461-7147 or John Sackett, elder for evangelism and missions at john.sackett@msn.com.
