Coweta County Development Authority member Weyman Jenkins resigned last week after more than 20 years of service on the organization’s board of directors.

“On behalf of both the Coweta County Development Authority and the Development Authority of Coweta County, I want to thank Weyman for his years of service,” said development authority Chairman David Brown. ”Weyman brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to our boards and he always worked for the betterment of our county through strong economic development initiatives. His presence as a member of our development authorities will be missed, and we all wish him the best in the years to come.”

Jenkins served on the Coweta County Development Authority since 1991.

Jenkins for 13 years served at Newnan Utilities as Commission Secretary, 10 years as the Grantville City Manager and 12 years on the Board of Directors of the Coweta County Cities and County Employees Credit Union.

Jenkins and his wife Carolyn reside in Grantville.
