Should someone you know be Mother of the Year?

Let us know! The deadline for Fayette County’s 10th annual Mother of the Year Contest, coordinated by The Citizen newspapers and Fayette Woman magazine, is midnight on Tuesday, April 24.

Valuable prize packages for three winning moms are provided this year by Atlanta Market Finds, Baci Itailian Restaurant, The Bone Yard, Cosmedical Spa, Green Ginger, Gypsi Locks, heart is found photography studio, Ici Paris, Main St. Fayetteville, Merle Norman of Peachtree City, Mucklow’s Fine Jewelry, Rona’s Flowers, Smiles by Dr. Shrenna L. Clifton, Smith and Davis, and Storybook Shoes.

If you know someone who should be named “Mother of the Year” tell us why in an essay of 500 words or less. Email your nomination to: [email protected].

Be sure to include:

Your name and contact information;
Mother’s name, age, address and contact information (winning moms must be residents of Fayette County);
A photo of the mother nominated; and
Why this person should be recognized as a “Mother of the Year.”

Winners will be selected from three age categories.

The most important thing to know about this contest is that if you don’t enter, you can’t win. Three moms are going to have a very nice Mothers’ Day. Why not yours?

Nominations for younger moms are sometimes lacking. There aren’t a lot of young children who write to us, but there are lot of under 40 moms who deserve to have their stories told. Please think of your friends, wives and daughters in this age category and let us know about them too.
