Betty M. Hefty, 81, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away April 19, 2012. Mrs. Hefty was born in Medina, Ohio on April 18, 1931 and worked as Travel & Transportation Manager for the Federal Government. Betty was also a member of Alpha Delta Phi sorority and a graduate of Boling Green State University.
She is preceded in death by her husband Douglas E. Hefty. She is survived by her daughter Liz Taylor & husband Greg of College Park, Ga., formerly of Brooks, Ga.; grandson Jesse Taylor of College Park, formerly of Brooks, Ga.; niece Penny Rickard of Lodi, Ohio & faithful canine companion Daisy.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Kennesaw Memorial Gardens, Marietta, Ga. The family will receive friends from 10 to 12 noon prior to the service at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City, Ga.
