It’s nearly time to kick off the 2012 season at The Fred, and while series shows remain a hot ticket item, four new spotlight shows have just been announced by the staff of The Fred. These shows include a diverse mix of entertainment; all targeted at varying age groups to help round out the season and offer something for everyone.

The four spotlight shows include The Golden Dragon Acrobats on June 9, The Fayette Pops Symphony Orchestra on July 3, The Swingin’ Medallions on July 7, and The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra on July 21.

The first spotlight show on June 9, The Golden Dragon Acrobats, is a unique family show and represents the best of a time honored tradition that began more than twenty-five centuries ago. The Golden Dragons are recognized throughout the United States and abroad as the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company of today. The affordable ticket prices of $10 per child (under 12 years of age) and $30 per adult, make it a must see for the entire family.

On Tuesday, July 3 The Fayette Pops Symphony Orchestra will present “Pop, Goes the 4th”. Celebrate our nation’s independence with an evening of patriotic music! Adults $15, Students $5.

The 4th of July festivities continue on Sat. July 7 as The Fred brings back the tradition of the party band of the south, The Swingin’ Medallions! The group’s signature high-energy style delights audiences of all ages. Tickets are $20 for reserved seats and $15 for lawn, or you may purchase a family 4 pack for $60.

On July 21 The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra returns to the stage of The Fred. The legendary Glenn Miller was one of the most successful bandleaders during the Swing Era of the 1930’s and 40’s. In 1941 with hits like Chattanooga Choo Choo and A String of Pearls, the Glenn Miller Orchestra had more hit records in one year than anyone ever in the history of the recording industry. Reserved seats are $20 each and $15 for lawn seating.

Tickets are currently on sale for all shows and may be purchased at The Fred Box Office Tues. – Friday from 11a.m. – 5p.m. of online at Ticket Alternative.
