Peachtree City police are investigating a fight that occurred at Concord Village Apartments Monday afternoon in which a victim was cut by a knife-wielding attacker.

Police searched the area but could not find the aggressor who reportedly punched the 19-year-old victim and cut his hand by swinging a knife, according to an incident report on the matter.

A witness told police that the suspect grabbed the victim in a bear hug when a third unidentified person began punching the victim, according to the report.

The known suspect was identified in the police report but has not been arrested as of press time Friday afternoon.

In addition to the cut on his left hand from the knife, the victim had a cut over his right eye where he was punched, according to the report.

Several other witnesses were interviewed in connection with the case, and several drops of blood were seen outside of the 1800 building at the apartment complex.

The victim was “not extremely cooperative” with officers investigating the incident, the police report noted. Paramedics treated the victim’s injuries but he refused being transported to the hospital despite a paramedic’s suggestion the cut over his eye needed stitches, according to the report.
