St. Paul offers Lenten services
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will hold mid-week Lenten services on Wednesdays, March 21 and 28, at 5 and 7 p.m. with dinner between services at 6 p.m. The church is at 700 Ardenlee Pkwy. off Ga. Highway 74 in Peachtree City.
Bible study meets Thursdays
Elder Jimmie and Evangelist Debra White of Rehoboth Ministries currently lead a series of Bible studies on the Life of Christ. Sessions are held at the American Legion in Fayetteville (log cabin on Ga. Hwy. 85) at 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings. This is an interactive study and is available free of charge to anyone. Brooks thrift shop sale is March 23-24
The Second Chance Thrift Shop’s popular Tent Sale is back and scheduled for March 23-24. Everything in the shop will be half-off. In addition, there will be furniture and other large items for sale. The shop is at 151 McIntosh Rd., Brooks (just past the Brooks Post Office and baseball fields). Proceeds from the shop go to help local and international missions.
COS preschool to host pancake supper
The Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Preschool invites everyone for pancakes and sausage on Fri., Mar. 23, at 6 p.m. at the church. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door. A silent auction with items donated by local businesses will happen at the same time. All proceeds support the Angel (Scholarship) Fund and the preschool’s ministry. The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway.
Brooks UMC will hold Easter Egg Hunt
All children are invited to bring their Easter baskets and enjoy an afternoon of crafts, games and snacks at Brooks United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 25, from 3:30 – 5 p.m. Brooks UMC is at the corner of Ga. 85 Connector and Morgan Mill Road in Brooks, just 3 miles south of Starr’s Mill at 119 Morgan Mill Rd. COS will host blood drive Monday
