James “Jim” Edgar Knauff, II, 91, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Doctor’s Hospice. Jim was born in Atlantic City, N.J. on December 11, 1920 to James Edgar Knauff, Sr. and Ruth Cordrey Knauff. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II receiving the World War II Victory Medal, served in Germany, received the Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.

Mr. Knauff is preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl, sister Ruth and brothers William and John Knauff.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Mucklow Knauff; children James E. Knauff, III of Houston, Texas, Jeffrey John Knauff & wife Vicki of Apollo Beach, Fla., Carol Lynn Webb & husband Ken of Clearwater, Fla.; stepchildren James Stevens and wife Aimee of Peachtree City, Ga., Michelle McGee and husband Alex of Atlanta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and 2 -1/2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City, Ga., with Sean Robinson officiating.
