FFUMC will again host Lenten lunches
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will again host its weekly series of Lenten lunches, featuring a light lunch and a brief message at noon each Thursday during Lent. The cost is $2 and the  first is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 22, at noon at the church, 175 E. Lanier Ave. (Ga. Highway 54 W.) in downtown Fayetteville. The Rev. Mark Westmoreland, senior pastor, will be the speaker and the Faith Circle will provide the lunch. An Ash Wednesday service will be held that evening at 6:30 p.m., offering the imposition of ashes. Ash Wednesay service is tonight in PTC
At Peachtree City United Methodist, members will begin the 40-day journey of Lent on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22.  Two services of imposition of the ashes will take place in the worship center at  noon and at 7 p.m.  All are welcome. St. Paul plans Ash Wednesday, Lenten events
St Paul Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will hold Ash Wednesday services at 5 and 7 p.m. tonight, Feb. 22, with a dinner at 6 p.m. between services. Mid-week Lenten services will be held on Wednesdays, Feb. 29, and March 7, 14, 21, and 28, also at 5 and 7 p.m. with dinner between services at 6 p.m. The church is at 700 Ardenlee Pkwy. off Ga. Highway 74 in Peachtree City.

Senoia UMC to observe Ash Wednesday
 Senoia United Methodist Church will have an Ash Wednesday service Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. following the Wednesday Night Supper. The church is on the corner of Bridge and Seavy streets in downtown Senoia.

Ash Wednesday services announced
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church announces two services on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22. The services at 12:15 and 7 p.m. will include a sermon by Associate Pastor Miriam Beecher, special music, holy communion, and the imposition of ashes for those who wish to receive them.

Nativity announces Lenten events
On Feb. 22,Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Fayetteville will observe Ash Wednesday,  with the imposition of ashes on communicants’ foreheads at services set for 7 a.m., noon, and 7 p.m.  During Lent, a service will be held at 7 p.m. each Wednesday, based on Christ’s seven last words from the cross.

Word of God Lutheran plans Lenten events
Word of God Lutheran Church in Peachtree City  will hold its Ash Wednesday service on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. with imposition of ashes and Holy  Communion.  Wednesday mid-week Lenten services will be held at 7 p.m. on Feb. 29, March 7, March 14, March 21, and March 28.  Word of God meets at 303 Kelly Dr., Suite 10, Peachtree City.  Larry Lystig is the interim pastor. Aging parents discussed at workshop
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran invites all to a one-hour workshop, “Heart-to-Heart: As Your Parents Age,” Sunday, Feb. 26 at 9:40 a.m. Charles Anderson of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will present options for planning and making decisions for families. The  workshop concludes a 3-week series on making practical choices with understanding and compassion.

Southern Style Quartet to perform March 4
Members of Peachtree City Christian Church will present the Southern Style Quartet and invite members of the community to join them for an evening of gospel music The concert will be held Sunday, March 4 at 6 pm.
