The weekend before Valentine’s Day, you can enjoy an evening out with your sweetheart at the Angels Among Us Dinner Dance to benefit the children at Fayette Youth Protection Homes (FYPH). This elegant and enjoyable event takes place on Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. at Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree and raises much needed funding for local children and youth who have been the victims of abuse, neglect, or other tragic circumstances.

Highlights of the event include a gourmet sit-down dinner prepared by the chefs at Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree, the chance to win some wonderful items in both the silent and the live auctions, and dancing to the live music of popular band “Second Time Around.”

Fayette Youth Protection Homes is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment and supportive services to children and youth who have been the victims of abuse, neglect or other tragic family circumstances.  FYPH operates the Friday-Johnson Home; a residential group home located in Brooks, Georgia which provides shelter and healing to school-age children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

FYPH also runs a community-based foster care program and recruits, trains and supports a network of foster homes who take in children of all ages.

Additionally, FYPH operates Gracie’s Closet which is a clothing resource center for children in foster care on the south side of metro Atlanta.

Tickets to this event are $100 per person and can be purchased online at www.fyph.org or by contacting Becky Davenport at 770-461-7020.  For more information about Fayette Youth Protection Homes, visit www.fyph.org.
