REIGN, a rock band composed of three East Coweta High students, will be performing on the main stage at 6 p.m. at the Peach Drop on New Year’s Eve in Underground Atlanta.
Blaire Morgan and brothers Colin and Matt Duncan organized the band in 2009. Since then the three have become a fixture at local venues, playing at The Brickhouse Grille & Tavern, Powers’ Crossroads Country Fair and Arts Festival, Me & Ed’s, Jekyll & Hyde’s and Summit Family YMCA in addition to private bookings.

Their music is influenced by the classics of The Beatles and Guns N’ Roses as well as the stylings of more current groups such as Sublime and 30 Seconds to Mars. They like to play cover songs that fans can sing along with and they are currently working on some original material as well.

Lead vocalist Blaire Morgan began singing at Central Baptist Church when she was seven years old. She remains a member of the church choir and her school chorus. As a member of the Honors Performance Chorus at the Coweta Centre for Performing and Visual Arts, she recently performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Matt Duncan, lead guitarist and backup vocalist, began playing guitar when he was 10 years old. He participated in the school strings program and has been professionally trained at Musicology in Newnan.

Drummer Colin Duncan also began his musical training at the age of 10 with private piano lessons. He later discovered his passion for drumming and joined the school band as a percussionist for three years. He has also continued his percussion training at Musicology.
