Don the golf cart with garland and holly, pack up the family and head to The Fred Amphitheater for the annual Hometown Holiday program on Saturday, Dec. 3. This family-friendly event is free to the public and promises to possess all of the ingredients needed to get you in the Christmas spirit.

The hour-long program is packed with local talent including performances by Twilight Theater, Peachtree Wind Ensemble, The Cratchit Family and Carolers from A Company of Friends Productions, Legacy Dance Stars, Music Schools International and local singers Paige McCauley and Alison Chambers.

The program will also include a visit from a right jolly old elf who will help lead the audience in an old-fashioned sing-along which will conclude the program.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. and concessions will be provided by Delta Zi Sorority.

Immediately following the program, everyone will be invited to follow Santa along the Trail of Lights and head over to City Hall Plaza for the lighting of the Grand Christmas Tree. Santa will lead the crowd in a red golf cart donated by Bulldog Supply of Peachtree City. The official lighting of the tree will take place at approximately 8 p.m.

For further information about the Hometown Holiday program at the Fred, contact Nancy Price at 770-631-0630. For information about the Tree Lighting, contact Becky Kimble at the Peachtree City Recreation Department at 770-631-2525.
