Next week, community leaders and elected officials will come together to host an elegant holiday affair with delicious food and Christmas cheer. It’s the 5th Annual Children’s Chair-ity Event benefiting the abandoned, abused, and otherwise homeless children who live in the cottages at The Children’s Village at Christian City — and there’s still time to get tickets.

The event will feature a silent auction of extraordinary chairs and other works of art donated by local artisans. All proceeds will help the children who live at Christian City have a wonderful Christmas.

The event will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Dolce Atlanta in Peachtree City. Pay $10 at the door or register online. Sponsorships are available from $250 to $5,000.

Last year more than $36,000 was raised for the children.

Children from The Children’s Village paint miniature chairs, which are given to the guests who sponsor a child for the month of December.
