Open Door youth plan car wash Saturday
The youth at Open Door Baptist Church in Senoia will have a car wash this Saturday, Sept. 10, starting at 9 a.m. at McDonald’s on the corner of Ga. Highway 85 and Ga. Highway 16 in Senoia. Donations are welcome.

Youth will be featured Sunday at Nativity
Young people will be involved in all aspects of leading worship at the 10 a.m. service Sunday, Sept. 11, at Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Fayetteville. The occasion has been designated as both Rally Day and Youth Sunday, since it will mark the start of the parish’s Christian formation program for 2011-2012. A potluck lunch will follow the service.

New Hope plans services at both campuses
New Hope Baptist Church will have services at both campuses this Sunday, Sept. 11. COS plans Sept. 11 remembrances
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will remember Sept. 11, 2001, in two ways. During regular worship services special prayers and music by Sanctuary Choir, Joyful Noise Ringers, and The Christ Our Shepherd Flute Choir will mark the anniversary. Then a one-hour service at 6 p.m. will include music, prayers and reflections by those affected by the disaster. The public is invited.

Woolsey will host special 9/11 tribute
The Celebration Choir of Woolsey Baptist Church will present “America We Must Not Forget, A Patriotic Call for Revival in America,” as a tenth Anniversary tribute of 9/11 on Sunday night Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The musical was created by, Mike Harland with Chris Machen and Luke Garrett, arranged and orchestrated by Richard Kingsmore. All heroes will be invited and honored, including military, police, firemen, EMTs, doctors, nurses, plus others. Childcare provided. Mom’s Circle at COS meets Sept. 14
Moms’ Circle at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church meets for the first time this fall for brunch on Sept. 14 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the church. The Circle provides mothers an opportunity for fellowship and learning. The book, “99 Ways to Raise Spiritually Healthy Children” by Kathleen Long Bostrom ($12) will be the basis for discussion. Childcare is provided at no charge for children age 3 and younger. Mothers of preschool and elementary-age children are invited every second Wednesday. For more information call 770-487-8717.

GreekFest tickets available
St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church invites the community to attend GreekFest 2011, Saturday, Sept. 17 from 6:30 until … at the Dixie Wing Commemorative Hangar at Falcon Field in Peachtree City. The event will feature live music and dancing, “All You Can Eat and Drink” Greek appetizers and salad, lemon chicken, pastitsio, and pastries, adult beverages and more. Summit again offers free tutoringre
The Family Resource Center at The Summit Presbyterian Church is once again offering free tutoring for elementary and high school students. Classes meet on Wednesdays, one from 4-5 p.m. and another from 5-6 p.m. Help is offered in math, reading, homework, science, and language arts. Tutors are supervised by certified teachers.
