Fayette County Sheriff’s investigators on Aug. 31 arrested a Hampton man in connection with the rape of a west Fayette County woman that occurred in October 2010.
Investigators arrested William Jeffrey Dumas, 36, of Hampton, charging him with two counts of rape and aggravated sodomy, according to Fayette County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Brent Rowan.
Rowan said the case involved Dumas having sexual intercourse with an adult female against her will at a residence in west Fayette County. Dumas was visiting the victim’s family at the time of this incident where he was a long-time acquaintance and knew the victim, Rowan said.
Dumas is currently in the Fayette County Jail.
In another case, Rowan said Fayette County Sheriff’s Tactical Narcotic Team (TNT) investigators made two arrests on Aug. 25 while executing a search warrant at a residence on Henderson Road.
TNT investigators arrested Michael David Hall, 40, and Christal Ann Hall, 41, both of Fayetteville, and charged them both with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule III narcotic (Vicodin) and possession of a Schedule IV narcotic (Klonpin), said Rowan. Christal Hall was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Rowan added.
Rowan said the search warrant was obtained after TNT received information about the presence of illegal narcotics being inside the home.
