Summit again offers free tutoring
The Family Resource Center at The Summit Presbyterian Church will once again offer free tutoring for elementary and high school students beginning Aug. 24. Classes meet on Wednesdays, one from 4-5 p.m. and another from 5-6 p.m. Help is offered in math, reading, homework, science, and language arts. Tutors are supervised by certified teachers. AWANA resumes at Woolsey

COS offers discussion group, brass music
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City offers a discussion group at 9:40 a.m. Sunday mornings centering on the NOOMA (“Spirit”) videos of Rob Bell. Bell recently attracted attention for his book, “Love Wins,” which some regard as controversial. All adults are welcome. This Sunday, Aug. 28, the Christ Our Shepherd Brass will provide worship leadership at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sanctuary services. They will play a prelude, service music and hymns.
