The James Waldrop Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Marquis de Lafayette Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution participated in the 10th annual “Let Freedom Ring” ceremony on the old Courthouse Square. Ted Hackney, John Sloan and the Rev. Jeff Lowe read off the names of all the signers of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, and a bell was rung for each of the 13 original colonies.
