0As July 4th nears, so does Peachtree City’s annual parade and the nighttime fireworks celebration over picturesque Lake Peachtree.
Some may find it a little bit more challenging to get to their preferred lakeside viewing spot this year as the area around the Battery Way boat docks will be closed to all vehicles, including golf carts, autos, boats and trailers.
The move is necessary to avoid “significant crowding” that has occurred in previous years, city officials said.
Parking will be available along one side of Battery Way and also the nearby Methodist Church at the intersection of Peachtree Parkway and Windgate Road, city officials said.
