Odd-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Even-numbered and unnumbered addresses are allowed to water on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. for more information, please visit www.gaepd.org/Documents/outdoorwater.html.

Stormwater Tip: The Effect of Pollution on Drinking Water
Water is a staple in our daily lives. We use it for drinking, washing our clothes, showering, watering our lawns, and more. In the Atlanta Region, approximately 500 million gallons are used every day. The majority of this water (98%) comes from surface water sources.

Be a Solution to Water Pollution
1. Never dump anything down a storm drain or into a drainage ditch.
2. Recycle motor oil and other vehicle fluids.
3. Throw litter in its place.
4. Clean up after your pet.
5. Check your vehicles for leaks (and repair them!)
6. Reduce the amount of household hazardous wastes generated at home.
7. Compost yard clippings.
8. Use fertilizer and pesticides only when needed. (Read the label and follow instructions)
9. If you wash your vehicle at home, do so on the lawn rather than on pavement.
10. Tell a friend or neighbor about how to prevent stormwater pollution and get involved in your community.

There are several other actions you can take to prevent pollution via household hazardous waste. Please be an active part in pollution prevention. For more information, visit www.cleanwatercampaign.com.

Project Updates:

Peachtree Parkway North Repairs at The Peninsula – The majority of work appears to be completed. The Water Department usually lets the ground settle for two weeks before installing the concrete cover, after which Public Works can install the final asphalt coat.

Lake McIntosh Burning – Fayette County has advised that the contractor will begin burning this week through April 30, conditions permitting. Any remaining burning will resume October 1 when the state outdoor burning ban is lifted. Fayette County indicates the type of burning they are doing, which is on the Coweta County portion of the property, should not create problems with smoke. Residents who do have complaints about smoke should contact the Fayette County Water System at 770-461-1146 or water@fayettecountyga.gov .
