The 2010-2011 Junior Master Gardener class graduated on March 29. The twelve week after school course for students in grades three to five covered a variety of subjects including: soil composition; properties of a food chain; composting; differences between annual, biennial and perennial plants; characteristics of trees and shrubs; water conservation; beneficial and harmful insects, and the importance of landscape design.
