The Lenten Lunch program held annually by Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will begin today, March 9, at noon with a light lunch and a brief program given by the Rev. Mark Westmoreland, senior minister at FFUMC. Cost of the lunch is $2.
Lunches will continue each Thursday during Lent, beginning March 17, with a different speaker each week and light lunch provided by the United Methodist Women’s circle groups.
The Ash Wednesday worship service, with imposition of ashes, will be held this evening at 6:30 p.m.
Several Bible studies also are planned to coincide with the Lenten season.
FFUMC is across from the Fayette County Courthouse in downtown Fayetteville.
