Hugh Edward Hudgins, 80, of Fayetteville, died December 14, 2010.
He worked for Ford Motor Co. for 34 years and was a member of Christ Church at Whitewater for 24 years. Mr. Hudgins enjoyed gardening and yard work and was known for his tomatoes.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Nell Hudgins; sons Edward E. Hudgins of Doraville, John Hudgins of Canton, and Mark and Sherry Hudgins of Canton; daughters Katurah H. Driskill of McDonough and Dawn Rampley of Canton; step-son Scott Brook of Sharpsburg; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Christ Church at Whitewater with Rev. Paul Carrier, Rev. Paul Leslie, and Rev. Stephen Carpenter officiating. The body will lie in state and the family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Church at Whitewater, 1577 Hwy 85 S, Fayetteville, GA 30215 .
