FFUMC will offer Financial Peace University beginning in January

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church (FFUMC will offer multiple courses in Financial Peace University, a 13-week course, in the winter through spring 2011. The course benefits couples and individuals of all ages, those with or without debt.

“Financial Peace University (FPU) is a life-changing program that teaches you to achieve your financial goals by eliminating debt, saving for the future, and giving like never before,” a spokesperson said. “More than one million families have attended FPU with amazing results. You will be challenged and motivated to make a plan for your money and change your family tree forever.”

The first course for 2011 will be held Sunday, Jan. 30 through Sunday, May 1 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the church. Facilitators are Charlcie and Pete Neal. The class will not meet Easter Sunday, April 24.

The second course will be held Wednesday evenings, Feb. 2 through May 4, from 6:15 – 8:15 p.m. at the church. The facilitator is Mickey Seigle. The class will not meet Ash Wednesday, March 9.

The third course will be held Thursday evenings, Feb. 3 – May 5, from 6:30. – 8:30 p.m. at the church. The facilitator is Jack Wheeler. The class will not meet Maundy Thursday, April 21,

To sign up for either of the courses, contact the Rev. Kristin Heiden, 770-461-4313. The cost for the course, including all materials, is $100 (a discounted rate). Once registered, couples and individuals can retake the course without additional costs.
