Sondra “Lynn” Reece ascended to the glorious presence of the Father Almighty through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ on September 18, 2010, as the result of a tragic automobile accident.
Lynn was the daughter of Mary McCollum and the late Jim McCollum. She had two children that she adored – daughter Kelly Wright and husband Jon of Sharpsburg, GA, and son Brian Reece and wife Kim of Newnan, GA. She also had four grandchildren: Kayla Mejia and husband Nathan, Lanier, Destiny, and Brianna. Lynn is also survived by her mother Mary McCollum of Bluffton, SC, brother Jimmy and wife Karen of MN, and a sister Cathy Kitchens of Covington, GA. She has several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins in the Savannah and Bluffton area.
Lynn was born in Savannah and later moved to Atlanta where she married and raised her children. Upon retiring from Delta Air Lines in 2000, after 24 years of service, she returned to Bluffton to be near her parents and the Ocean that she loved. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday September 26, 2010 at 4pm at Orchard Hills Baptist Church on Gordon Road in Newnan, GA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity, or Harps Crossing Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA or Orchard Hills Baptist Church in Newnan, GA
