It’s time for the 33rd annual Shakerag Arts & Crafts Festival in Peachtree City. The Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department will host the festival Saturday, and Sunday, Sept. 18 and 19, and will be held at Shakerag Knoll located at 191 McIntosh Trail in Peachtree City. The hours on Saturday are from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and 12-5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission and parking is free.

“This is one of the biggest shows yet,” said Ashley Alonso, event coordinator. With 120 vendors, many of them being new this year, you will definitely want to mark your calendar.

Shakerag Arts & Crafts Festival is known for its handmade arts, crafts, and food. We have a variety of vendors, from all over Georgia and the south, with unique items for sale including pottery, paintings, ceramics, florals, pet items, jewelry, etc. There is a children’s area that will feature a bounce house, games, pony rides and a craft station. Fees for these activities are minimal.

“This is a great time to shop for the holidays and find something unique and original for friends and family,” Alonso mentioned.

In conjunction with the show this year the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater is sponsoring the Shakerag Bluegrass Festival. The hours are from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday and 2-6 p.m. on Sunday. Wristbands are available at the amphitheater box office. You may purchase a one day wristband for $10 or a two day wristband for $15. Please visit www.amphitheater.org for a list of bands and additional information. The festival will go on rain or shine. Visit www.ptcrecreation.org.
