Looking for some fun for the family this weekend? Look no further than Shamrock Park in Tyrone Saturday morning and afternoon where the town will hold the 2010 version of the “Back to School Bash.”
Tyrone Recreation Department Director Jennifer Patton said the festivities will include all day fun for kids including moonwalks and face painting, a local DJ and lots of music.
The event will also feature a 4-D movie that will provide much more than just the sound and video, Patton said, suggesting that families come and see just what’s inside the unique ride.
But there’s more. How about a giant human hamster ball designed to be “rolled” around the park? Sounds like it could be fun.
Patton said there will be a variety of vendors providing food at a nominal cost and drawings for great prizes and several grand prizes.
“The great part about this event is that there will be no charge to the public,” Patton said.
The event will be held at Shamrock Park on Senoia Road on Saturday, July 31 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
