Upward Basketball Camp set
McDonough Road Baptist Church of Fayetteville will host an Upward Basketball camp July 19-22, from 6-8 p.m. at the church facility. The camp is for boys and girls from kindergarten age through eighth grade. The participants will receive a camp t-shirt, water bottle, poster and basketball, as well as special recognition throughout the camp experience. Registration is $50 before July 11, and $60 after July 11. McDonough Road Baptist Church is just past the department of drivers’ services building at 352 McDonough Rd. Suzie Jones to speak at CDM
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM) will host a Times of Refreshing meeting Sunday, July 11, at 5 p.m. The speaker will be Pastor Suzie Jones, full time senior pastor of the Ministry of New Life, Inc., in southwest Atlanta. New Hope announces two camps
New Hope Baptist Church will offer Preschool Day Camp July 12 – 16, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. for preschoolers age 4 (by Sept. 1, 2010) through kindergarten. The cost is $65. Those attending should bring a lunch and drink each day. New Hope will partner with Dogwood Church for C3 Winshape Camp (held at Dogwood Church) July 26-30, from 7:45 a.m. – 5 p.m., for kids in grades 1-6 (just completed.)The cost is $179. The Summit’s VBS is July 18-20
The Summit Church is hosting VBS this summer July 18-20 from 6-8 p.m. A special guest speaker, John Westlund, the campus minister of Middle Tennessee State University, will speak. Dogwood will offer C3 Winshape
C3 WinShape, “The Ultimate Daycamp Experience,” will be offered at Dogwood Church, Tyrone, July 26-30 for children who have completed first grade through those who have completed sixth grade. Trip to DeKalb Farmer’s Market planned
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will partner with Fayette Senior Services for a trip to the DeKalb Farmer’s Market July 27. The group will leave the church at 10 a.m. and return about 3:30 p. m. The cost of the trip is $7, with lunch cost additional, paid by the individual. The church will provide coolers and markers for those who want to make purchases at the market. At least 15 registered participants are required to make the trip. Register at the church by July 20. Special guests at Oak Lawn Baptist
Second Coming and the Bowling Family will perform at Oak Lawn Baptist Church in Newnan July 31 at 6 p.m. Second coming is celebrating 16 years in the ministry. Oak Lawn is at 482 Pine Rd., one half mile off I-85 South, Newnan.

Prophet Chambers Training seminar planned
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM) in Fairburn will host a seminar, “Prophet Chambers Training,” Saturday, July 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier. The training is for those who feel called to the office of the prophet and for those who want to understand the role of the prophet in the 21st century. Flat Creek to dedicate organ
Kenneth D. Varner will be the featured performer, along with the Flat Creek Choir and congregation, when Flat Creek Baptist Church presents its organ dedication service Sunday, Aug. 1, at 6 p.m. Flat Creek is at 161 Flat Creek Trail between Ga. Highway 54 and Tyrone Road.
