Peachtree City will host Touch A Truck on Saturday, May 1 in the Recreation Administration parking lot located at 191 McIntosh Trail from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This is the annual event where kids will be able to climb on big rigs, operate forklifts, turn on police sirens and learn about the equipment.

In honor of April being National Auto Safety Month our friends at Craig Automotive are teaming up with us. They will have representatives on site that will do a free inspection on your car. Safety is key.

The event will also have 92.5 FM and Bubba The Bear present. Listen to them live everyday as they mention Touch A Truck. DJ Tommy B will be playing some kid friendly music throughout the day as well.

This year there are new vehicles that the kids won’t want to miss. Admission is free and parents will find plenty of photo opportunities as kids of all ages will be allowed to climb into and “try out” the giant machinery.

Company representatives will be here to supervise, educate and hand out goodies. Ashley Alonso, the Coordinator of this event said, “This has been a great success in the past and this will be the most successful one yet.”

There are so many new companies and such a variety of vehicles. There will be police squad cars, stump grinders, fire engines, ambulances, rear loaders, sleeper tractors, tow trucks, an ice cream truck and much more.

“I encourage any company looking to advertise their business to call the Recreation Department at 770-31-2542,” said Alonso.
