Traffic Advisory for Peachtree City on April 24, two workshops of interest Monday

Expect delays Saturday from noon to about 12:30 Saturday morning.

The Blue Knights Memorial Ride for fallen Georgia Police Officers will enter Peachtree City from Highway 74 South at about noon on Saturday, proceeding to Dividend Drive and then to Atlanta Regional Airport Falcon Field. The organizers are expecting over 2,500 bikes, which will delay traffic on Highway 74 South for about 30 minutes tomorrow.

For those of you who have never seen this annual ride, it is really moving!

We also have a couple of workshops on Monday that may be of interest to folks:

Planning Commission Workshop on Senior Apartments
The Planning Commission will hold a workshop on Monday, April 26, 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, to discuss the proposed NorSouth Companies, Inc., rezoning request for 5.62 acres on Newgate Road for an age-restricted apartment development for seniors. The Commission will also consider a new Master Sign Program for Braelinn Village retail center. The public is welcome.

Recreation Commission/City Council Workshop on Senior Services
The Peachtree City Recreation Commission and City Council will hold a joint workshop on Monday, April 26, 6:30 p.m. at The Gathering Place (203 McIntosh Trail) to discuss possible coordination between The Gathering Place and Fayette Senior Services. Interested residents are welcome.

All proceeds benefit the Wellspring Living mission, which creates restorative environments for victims of childhood trauma, including molestation and forced childhood prostitution.
