0The community is invited to join National Heights Baptist Church on a trip to Austria and the Oberammergau Passion Play, leaving Atlanta on August 26.
Collette Vacations is the organizer for this trip to see the once in a decade performance.
The original Passion Play began in 1634 when villagers of Oberammergau bowed to perform a play depicting the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, if God would spare its residents from the bubonic plague.
The residents were spared and the play has been performed ever since.
