Officials say to run the faucet a few minutes until water clears

Beginning April 1st and running through June 30th, the Peachtree City Fire Department will be testing all of the public fire hydrants in the city.

The testing may result in the discoloration of the water. Residents are asked to check their water before consuming or doing laundry.

If the water is discolored, it may be cleared simply by running the faucet for a few minutes to flush out the sediment.

The fire department apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and is making every effort to keep water discoloration to a minimum.
