The Legacy Theatre in Tyrone is proud to announce that Hypnotist Mike Harvey will be performing this Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.
Harvey, a Newnan resident for the last 11 years, has been performing since 1969. He has performed in 600 different cities in the United States in front of over 11 million people. For 28 years, Harvey performed regularly each summer in Panama City Beach, Fla. and is well known for his clean brand of hypnotizing hilarity.
“I don’t even say heck or darn,” Harvey stated, lamenting the fact that so many R-Rated hypnotists have sprung up in recent years.
Harvey has been pounding the pavement in the days leading up to the show, talking to people in the area about his performances. It is a tried and true method that kept him popular for so many years in Panama City Beach.
“I’d walk up and down that beach each day, I knew everybody,” Harvey said, estimating that he has talked to close to 800 people this week about his upcoming performances at the Legacy Theatre, many of whom had never seen a hypnotist. Each show is different as the volunteers he brings up from the audience always react differently to the power of suggestion.
“The spontaneous stuff is the most fun,” Harvey said. “I’m really looking forward to performing so close to home.”

He has been performing over 38 years as a hypnotist. He has performed on Carnival Cruise Line for many years, and has has hypnotized more than 175,000 volunteers, while more than 11 million spectators have watched.
