A New Start Counseling Center, Inc. is delighted to announce a recent development. There is a growing need for counseling and psychological services for the local Japanese community. The addition of Megumi (Meg) Omonishi, Ph.D. to their clinical staff will help address this pressing need. She will serve the Fayette, Coweta and Clayton county areas.

“Dr. Omonishi is an interpersonally delightful professional who will effectively engage not only the local Japanese community but the general community as well”, said J. Dwight Foulk, MED, LPC, the counseling center president.

Dr. Omonishi provides individual and family psychotherapy with adults and adolescents. She also provides parents (caregivers) coaching to improve parent-child interactions and manage children’s behavioral problems. Additionally, she offers psychological assessments to examine academic, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. She is bilingual in both English and Japanese.
