Henry Grady Thrailkill Jr., 78, Brooks, formerly of Hapeville, died Dec. 18, 2009. He was a graduate of Hapeville High School and loved to garden and fish. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean conflict. He was the owner/operator of Kwik Pick Market in Hapeville which he began in 1959. He remained in the grocery business until his retirement in 1999.
Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Eddie Mason officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Martha Thrailkill, Brooks; sons, Gordon and Monica Thrailkill, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Joel Thrailkill, Fayetteville; a daughter, Debra and Joel Duran, Miami, Fla.; a stepson, Eric and Kimberly Brooks, Brooks; a stepdaughter, Michelle Brooks, Lilburn; eight grandchildren; a brother, Thomas and Fran Thrailkill, Lilburn; and a sister, Florence Gordy, Wilmington, N.C. Memorial donations may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Georgia Chapter, 1117 Perimeter Center West, Ste. E 101, Atlanta, GA 30338. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
