Women’s empowerment session
God’s J.E.W.E.L.S., Women’s Empowerment Session, will be held Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. at Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center, 383 Fayette Place, Fayetteville. All ladies ages 16 and up are invited to attend. God’s J.E.W.E.L.S. (Joyful Excited Women Empowering Ladies Successfully) is an outreach ministry of Shekinah Glory Fellowship Center. Men’s revival set for April 17-21
Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1565 Ga. Hwy. 92 N., Fayetteville, will celebrate its Men’s Revival April 17-19, and Men’s Day – April 21. The guest preachers are: Pastor Eric Gurley of Flint Ridge Baptist Church, April 17; Pastor Daniel Smart of Edgefield Baptist Church, April 18; and Pastor Roosevelt White of Little Vine Baptist Church, April 19. On Sunday, April 21, at the 10 a.m. service,  Deacon James Camp will be the speaker. The community is invited.

Summit to hold yard sale
The Summit Church will hold its Annual Youth Yard Sale Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The yard sale will include used, vintage and one of a kind items for sale. The proceeds will help defray the cost of the Youth Mission Trip to Haysville, N.C. in July.  The Summit Church is at 1373 Ga. Hwy. 92 South, Fayetteville. COS will host Young Musician’s Concert
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City invites the public to a Young Musicians Scholarship Concert on April 21 at 3 p.m. On the program are the church’s Flute Choir and Brass Choir and the Christ Our Shepherd Clarinets. The groups will perform individually before joining to play a finale which conductor Karl Dietmeyer calls “spectacular.”
The concert raises funds to send musicians in middle and high school to summer music camps, including the month-long Lutheran Summer Music Academy at Luther College. Admission is free but donations will be accepted. For scholarship information, call 770-487-8717, ext. 213.

COS to confirm 17 youths
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will celebrate the confirmation of 17 eighth graders at the 11 a.m. worship service April 21. These students have spent three years in group study and personal reflection, and will rise during worship to affirm their baptism and confess their faith in Jesus.
Pastors Miriam Beecher and Fritz Wiese and Director of Middle School Youth and Family Ministries Melissa Jacobson will question each confirmant and bestow a blessing. The youth will also provide special music for the service. Those to be confirmed are Claire Avery, Vincent Bartolomei, Clara Comiskey, Alex Dohany,  Jordan Hall, Kayla Keenan, Eddie King, Darren Mendes, Doug Morris, Drew Perez, Lou Pfundt, Sam Reissing, Elizabeth Wampler, Rebecca Waryold, Kathryn Washington, Nick Washington, and  Michael Young.

Divorce Care meets at PTCUMC
Divorce Care, for those going through or who recently experienced a divorce, will meet from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday evening at the Robinson  Road Campus of Peachtree City United Methodist Church in Room 300. The sessions are open to everyone and one may join at anytime during the 14 weeks the classes are in session. PTCUMC OFFERS GriefShare
GriefShare sessions at Peachtree City United Methodist Church are open to anyone in the community grieving the loss of a friend or loved one, and/or those who need to connect with others going through the same journey. The sessions are on Thursdays from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Robinson Road Campus in Room 308. For information contact Wanda Andereck at 770-716-8306.

Jazz Festival at The Summit
The Summit Church will hold its Annual Jazz Festival Saturday, May 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. Members of the community are invited to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the music of the Great Jazz Era from several musical groups.
