Look closely at the friendly blue labels on 2-ounce jars of

a little wonder cream called Frank K. Wood's Pain Relief

Rub, and you'll notice it's distributed by FC&A

in Peachtree City.

Although most local residents don't know it, little FC&A

is actually one of the ten largest independent publishers in

North America by sales volume. Their nonfiction titles focusing

on health and consumer advice regularly sell in the hundreds

of thousands of copies.

Yet even by those standards, Frank K. Wood's Pain Relief

Rub is a bona fide phenomenon. Thousands across the country swear

or telephone, until now. Jones Pharmacy is the first (and currently,

only) brick-and-mortar store to carry this amazingly successful

local remedy.

"It has the highest re-order rate of any of our products," said

FC&A Creative Services Manager Kris Rose. "We've

sold around a million-and-a-half jars since we first started

carrying the cream; that's nearly 400 a day.

"It's really special to us that our neighbors here

will be the first to buy it in stores," said Rose. "We're

absolutely thrilled to have Jones Pharmacy as our debut retail

outlet. As an independent pharmacy with over 50 years in Fayetteville,

they're very in tune with their customers, and we value

that relationship."

So what's so unique about Frank K. Wood's Pain Relief

Rub? "It was developed by a chemist to treat his mother's

arthritis," said Rose. "He formulated it to absorb

and act very quickly without heat or cold, and a lot of our customers

mention that. We get tons of mail about the pain rub, and it's

always a big hit at the AARP Convention. It really has a 'following.'"

FC&A has been in business since 1969 and is widely recognized

as a leading publisher in direct mail. While self-help health

books like the million-plus-selling "Prescription Drug Encyclopedia" long

made up the core inventory, the company is having great success

with expansion titles such as last year's blockbuster "Easy

Computing for Seniors."

Quite literally by popular demand, the company has recently

moved a few of its products into retail stores. So next time

those aches and pains flare up, just stop by Jones Pharmacy and

discover for yourself what all the fuss is about.
