North Fayette Friendship United Methodist Church will celebrate our 15th Annual 5K on October 30th. In 2018 we changed the name of our annual 5K to honor a very special man. Aramis Alvarez passed suddenly in a terrible accident in 2017. He was an example of a Christian man who put his love into action, helping so many. Aramis and his wife A licia formed “Sharing Hearts Foundation” to help children in Honduras. The foundation is helping several youths in Honduras with their education. They have made many trips there to help with medical needs. A portion of our profit goes to “Sharing Hearts Foundation” to carry on the work Aramis began many years ago, thanks to his wife Alicia Alvarez.
Go to www.nfumc.com to register. We will also have a Fall Festival and games
for the kids. Our Mid-Morning Market offers an indoor yard sale until 1:00. There will be door prizes for everyone who registers for the 5K and tickets sold for more chances. Our “Quilting Queen” will be there with her beautiful creations.
