Fayetteville First United Methodist Church (FFUMC) is offering several different fitness classes and is hosting a Fitness Open House Nov. 7 – 10.
Anyone is welcome to attend any of the classes at no charge for an introduction to each format.
“Don’t let the winter weather keep you cooped up in your house on the couch,” said Kristin Heiden, minister of Christian formation. “These classes offer a fun, low-cost opportunity for fitness and fellowship. Come find a class that’s right for you.”
The following classes are available:
PiYo is offered Mondays from 7 – 8 p.m. PiYoTM is a unique class designed to build strength and gain flexibility using pilates and yoga practice as a base. Those attending should bring a yoga mat or towel.
Zumba is offered on Tuesdays from 6 – 7 p.m. This class combines Latin and International music with a fun and effective workout system.
Hustle is offered on Thursdays from 6 – 7 p.m. Hip Hop HustleTM blends hip hop and dance moves, making them simple and easy to follow.
Instead of signing up for a particular class, enrollees will be asked to purchase a fitness punch card for $20 which will allow participation in 10 class sessions of any format. Cards will be kept at the church and the participant will simply punch his or her card before each class. Cards can be purchased from the church office or during any of the fitness classes.
