Arnie Geiger (right) sets a memorial brick in place as Jim Ryan prepares to tap it in place. Both men were part of a work crew from VFW Post 9949 in Peachtree City adding new and replacement bricks to the Veterans Memorial in Peachtree City’s Library and City Hall Plaza. This will be the site of the 13th annual Memorial Day commemoration on May 30, starting at 9 a.m. A golf cart procession open to the public will begin at the Gathering Place at 8:30 a.m. and wind around Lake Peachtree to the Veterans Memorial for the start of the event. Honors to the flag, live music and guest of honor Roy Mooney, a Pearl Harbor survivor, will be featured. For more information call the Recreation Department at 770-631-2542. Photo/Randy Gaddo.
