0Mrs. Betty Jo Barnett, 80, of Fayetteville, passed away on May 11, 2011.
Mrs. Barnett retired from Clayton County Board of Education after 30 years of dedicated service. She was a former council member for the city of Jonesboro and long-time member of Jonesboro First Baptist.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Barnett and her brother Ralph Stephens.
She is survived by her son Doug Barnett and his wife Peggy of Sharpsburg; grandchildren Zachary and Carson; brother Hubert Stephens of Marietta; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Jonesboro First Baptist Church with Reverend Irvin Pearre and Reverend Larry Lawrence officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
